Authenticity & Disclosure Statement
Willis Wears is committed to ethical and transparent resale of Native American jewelry. We make every effort to accurately represent the origin, materials, and authorship of each piece based on available information, including hallmarks, signatures, stylistic analysis, and sourcing history.
When a piece is attributed to a specific Native American artist or tribe, that information is disclosed based on our best knowledge at the time of listing. Some pieces may be unsigned or lack complete documentation; in those cases, we clearly state when attribution is unknown or unverified.
Willis Wears does not claim tribal affiliation or Native American authorship for any item unless such information is reasonably supported. Items described as “Native American” are represented in good faith and based on industry standards used in the secondary art and jewelry market.
We comply with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act (25 U.S.C. § 305 et seq.) and do not knowingly misrepresent the origin or authorship of any item we sell.
Is your jewelry authentic Native American jewelry?
Willis Wears is committed to ethical and transparent resale. When a piece is described as Native American, it is represented in good faith based on available information such as hallmarks, signatures, materials, stylistic characteristics, and sourcing history.
When artist or tribal affiliation is known, it is clearly disclosed. If attribution is uncertain or unknown, that is stated openly in the product description.
Do you comply with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act?
Yes. Willis Wears complies with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act (25 U.S.C. § 305 et seq.) and does not knowingly misrepresent the origin or authorship of any item.
We avoid misleading language and disclose known limitations in attribution when applicable.
Do you guarantee tribal affiliation or artist attribution?
No. While we make every effort to research and accurately represent each piece, some jewelry—particularly vintage and estate items—may be unsigned or lack complete documentation.
In those cases, attribution reflects our best assessment based on industry knowledge and available evidence, not a legal certification.
Are you affiliated with any tribe or Native organization?
No. Willis Wears is an independent resale business and is not affiliated with any tribe, tribal organization, or Native American artist.
We do not create or commission Native American jewelry. Our role is limited to ethical resale and education.
How do you determine attribution?
Attribution may be based on one or more of the following:
- Hallmarks or signatures
- Materials and stone types
- Construction techniques
- Stylistic indicators
- Historical sourcing information
If attribution cannot be reasonably supported, the piece will be listed as artist unknown or tribal affiliation unverified.
Are all jewelry sales final?
Due to the unique and often one-of-a-kind nature of our inventory, all sales are final unless otherwise stated.
We encourage customers to carefully review photos, descriptions, and measurements before purchasing.
What if my item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and follow the steps outlined in our refund policy.
